Two conscripts injured in North Sinai attacks

A conscript from among the North Sinai security troops was shot and injured on Tuesday by unknown perpetrators whilst caring out security raids south of Rafah, and another conscript injured in a bomb blast west of Arish.

North Sinai security services was notified about the injury of conscript Mohamed abdel Sattar, 22, who was shot in the left arm during the raid.

Efforts are being made to arrest the criminals.

In the North Sinai province of Arish, a police conscript was injured the same day when a bomb went off on Qantara road outside Arish. 

In press remarks, security sources said that a bomb had been planted by yet unidentified perpetrators 17 kilometers away from the western entrance of Arish. The bomb exploded while a police vehicle was passing. Reports of a loud explosion and dense smoke followed the explosion.

The conscript was injured in several places.

Both victims were taken to Arish military hospital for treatment. Local authorities were notified to conduct investigations.
