Two dead in Alexandria clashes Wednesday

A lieutenant and two soldiers were injured with birdshot east of Alexandria during clashes that occurred between supporters and opponents of the Muslim Brotherhood on Wednesday evening.

A medical source told Al-Masry Al-Youm two died during the clashes. The source did not identify the victims.
 
Seventeen rioters were arrested while in possession jerrycans of gasoline and oil, in addition to masks,” said Security Director of Alexandria Major General Ameen Ezz Eddin early Thursday.
 
According to a statement issued by the Alexandria Security Directorate, a number of Muslim Brotherhood supporters rallied on Wednesday and chanted anti-military slogans. The statement added that they possessed bladed weapons and other weapons.
