Two killed in clashes between protesters, Alexandria security forces

The death toll of clashes between supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and the security forces in different parts in Alexandria rose to two on Friday, said Major General Amin Ezz Eddin, head of Alexandria Security Directorate in a press statement.

Five others were injured, he added. Ezz Eddin said 27 protesters who were allegedly in possession two bombs, were arrested during clashes.

The statement added the security forces secured clashes that occured in al-Dekhaila, al-Montazah, and al-Raml districts.

Two private cars were destroyed and fires broke out in a number of apartments' balconies during clashes, the statememt said.
