Very hot weather to continue throughout Wednesday and Thursday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects very hot weather during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, South Sinai and the south of the country on Wednesday and Thursday.

Meteorologists expect the maximum temperature in Cairo to reach 38C during peak hours on Wednesday.

Temperatures in the northern coastal governorates will record 28C during the day and 17C at night.

In southern Upper Egypt, there will be a high of 42C and a low of 26C are predicted.

On Thursday temperatures are expected to rise an average of one degree in the governorates of Greater Cairo and 9 degrees on the northern coasts.

The high will be 39C in Cairo and Lower Egypt and the low 20C.

In northern coastal governorates, a high of 37C a low of 17C are expected.

Active wind is expected in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts and southern Upper Egypt at intermittent periods.

Meteorologists expect suspended dust on Thursday afternoon in areas of Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, the eastern coasts, the cities of the Suez Canal, central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.

Active dusty wind is predicted on Thursday in areas of the west of the country and southern Upper Egypt at intermittent periods.

Meteorologists warned citizens against direct exposure to sunlight, especially during peak hours, to avoid heat strokes.

They call on citizens, especially those with chest diseases, to wear a mask on Wednesday and Thursday when going down to the street due to active dusty winds in several areas.

Cairo and Lower Egypt 38C

Northern Coasts 28C

South Sinai 37C

Northern Upper Egypt 40C

Southern Upper Egypt 42C
