The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts hot, humid weather during the day on Sunday across the north of the country—extending to Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt—and intensely hot weather in southern Upper Egypt.
Conditions are expected to be mild and humid at night and in the early morning across most regions.
Temperatures vary significantly across governorates: Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will see 32C, the northern coasts 31C, and northern Upper Egypt 35C, while Southern Upper Egypt will see the highest temperatures, reaching 41C.
There is an intermittent chance of light rain in parts of the Northern Coast, the northern Lower Egypt, and areas of the Western Desert.
Wind activity is expected in most areas, helping to moderate the temperature in the shade and during the night in open areas.
Hot and humid daytime conditions are expected to persist until Thursday, October 1. There is a continued chance of light rain on Monday, September 28, along the northern coasts and in the Lower Egypt.
Greater Cairo is expected to reach 31C on Tuesday, September 29 – forecasts indicate a gradual drop in temperatures as October progresses.
Meteorologists advise wearing light cotton clothing during the day, exercising caution while driving in the early morning due to mist, and staying updated with the latest weather maps.
