Weather forecast for Wednesday

Meteorologists predict a moderate weather on the north coast on Wednesday, the first day of Eid al-Fitr, with higher temperatures in Cairo and the rest of the country.

Mist will affect visibility in the morning in the north. Low- and medium-level clouds are expected across most of the country, possibly accompanied by rain in the west, parts of south Upper Egypt, South Sinai, and the Red Sea mountains.

Winds are expected to be northeasterly and moderate in strength. They will be accompanied by dust in South Sinai and south Upper Egypt. Winds will be active on the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea are expected to be light to moderate and will range between 1.5 and 2 meters with northeasterly surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent and will range between 2 to 2.5 meters with northwesterly surface winds.

Maximum temperatures expected for the following cities are: 34C in Cairo, 31C in Alexandria, 44C in Qena, 46C in Luxor, and 46C in Aswan.
