Weather temperatures to rise in Cairo Friday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted a slight rise in temperatures Friday in Cairo and a number of areas, with the high in Cairo rising by one degree celsius.

The highest temperature in Egypt today remains 42C in Aswan and Edfu.

Friday and Saturday will remain very hot in most parts of Egypt, with active winds in Cairo and along the western coast.

The EMA expects very hot and humid weather on Friday in South Sinai, the Delta, and Upper Egypt, in addition to Greater Cairo. It will remain hot and humid on the North Coast.

High waves on the beaches of Matruh and Alamein will range between one and a half and two meters.

High temperatures on Friday:

Cairo: 38C

Alexandria: 32C

Qena: 40C

Aswan: 42C

Luxo:r 41C

Meteorologists expect that on Saturday, active winds will continue in Cairo and along the northwest coast. Light fog will form in the early morning on highways heading to and from the the North Coast and the Delta, as well as Greater Cairo.

High temperatures on Saturday:

Northern Upper Egypt: 40C

Southern Upper Egypt: 43C

Cairo and the Delta: 38C

North Coast: 32C

South Sinai: 40C

Temperatures will remain stable in most parts of Egypt until next Wednesday, with Cairo and the Delta on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday ranging between 38C and 40C, cooling slightly on Thursday.

Southern Upper Egypt on Sunday will reach 43-44C, on Monday and Tuesday 42-43C, and Wednesday 41-43C.

And Northern Upper Egypt on Sunday and Monday will record 39-41C, 38-40C on Tuesday, and on Wednesday 37-39C.
