Yasmine opens women’s football academy

Yasmine has always been talented in football. As a child, she used to play with her friends and watch matches with passion. Then she turned professional and played for the women’s team of the Aviation Club. Today, Yasmine is coaching the team at Al-Mostakbal University.

“All what women know about football is that it is a round thing,” says 21-year-old Yasmine. “It is not a man’s game, by the way.”

Yasmine opened an academy last year. “I have players from all ages,” she says, adding that the fees cover only part of the expenses. “I pay for the rest.”

“There are but only a few private clubs,” she says. “Not all girls can afford their membership.”
