19 Brotherhood students sentenced to prison, trial of 55 others postponed

Nasr City Misdemeanor Court has sentenced 19 Al-Azhar University students allegedly belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood to five years in prison and fined each LE100,000 for their involvement in violent acts at the university on 9, 10 and 28 December of last year.
 
The court postponed the trial of 55 others to 17 March.
 
The defendants are charged with inciting riots, bullying, blocking roads, assaulting police officers, resisting the authorities, demonstrating without permission, joining an armed terrorist gang that aims to disturb public security and damage public and private property and possessing Molotov cocktails.
