Cairo International Festival announces movie lineup

The Cairo International Film Festival has announced the names of the movies that will participate in the festival's 37th session, scheduled for November 11-20, 2015.
 
Sixteen feature films will be competing for the festival's Golden Pyramid Award.
 
Headed by critic Magda Wassef, the festival includes a jury made up of English producer Paul Webster, actress Dalia al-Behairy, director Marwan Hamed, director Leila Marrakesh, Georgian film director Giorgi Ovashvili and French producer Anne-Dominique Toussaint.
 
Estonian action war drama "1944", directed by Elmo Nüganen, will be competing for the prize, alongside Danish film "In Your Arms", directed by Samanou Acheche Sahlstrom, the French-Belgian drama "I am a Soldier," directed by Laurent Larivière, the Algerian-made "Madame Courage," directed by Merzak Allouache, and the South Korean mystery-drama "Madonna", directed by Shin Su-won.
 
"Mediterranea", directed by Jonas Carpignano, "Mina Walking", directed by Yosef Baraki, "Paulina", directed by Santiago Mitre, "The Treasure", directed by Corneliu Porumboiu and “The Wednesday Child," directed by Lili Horvath, will also take part in the festival.
