Court decrees lack of jurisdiction in lawsuit demanding NASL ban

Cairo Court for Urgent Matters in Abdeen decreed lack of jurisdiction in lawsuit requesting ban of activities of the National Alliance to Support Legitimacy (NASL) and seizure of the headquarters, according to judicial source.

Lawyer Samir Sabry earlier filed a lawsuit against Interim President Adly Mansour and Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim to seize the headquarters of the alliance, which they claim supports terrorism.

The Brotherhood-led alliance organized protests against authorities, which overthrew the Islamist president Mohamed Morsy in July 2013.
