Hend Sabry to donate movie wages to Syrian refugees

Tunisian actress Hend Sabry has announced that she will donate her earnings from her newest film, "Al-Babbagha" (The Parrot), to Syrian refugees.

"Al-Babbagha" is a German-Jordanian collaboration directed by Amgad al-Rashed and Dareen Salam. It tells the story of the Jewish Mezrahi family. They lived in Morocco in 1948, before moving to Haifa, Palestine, and settling there.

Sabry mentioned that shooting will begin on Saturday and take about a week to wrap up.

The actress has collaborated in making three short films with other young directors, namely Sabah al-Fol, Nahar w Leil and Masaa fi Joweileia.
