Armed Forces spokesperson Ahmed Mohamed Ali dismissed reports claiming the army foiled an armed attack on the Arish airport.

He said the sound of gunfire was from a Central Security Forces training at a nearby military camp.

Ali also called on the media to not spread false news, saying that they should depend on him for military-related news.
