Mohamed Abul Enein, owner of the Ceramica Cleopatra factory rejected demands of his protesting workers, after mediators had reached a compromise.

Mediators convinced workers to accept their salaries at the end of this month, a shift and meal allowance, half a month bonus in the middle of Ramadan and another half month bonus during the Eid. Another allowance and profit sharing bonus would be discussed next year.

Abul Enein insisted that the workers only get their salaries for this month after deducting the days they went on strike. Workers claimed it was Abul Enein did not send buses that move workers to the factory.

Representatives of the workers asked the Suez governor to intervene.
