MB: Beltagy’s daughter died during Rabaa sit-in dispersal

Muslim Brotherhood spokesperson Gehad al-Haddad on Wednesday tweeted that the daughter of Brotherhood leader Mohamed al-Beltagy was killed during the clearing of the Rabaa al-Adaweya sit-in.

Haddad tweeted the news in English, and ended his tweet with “Save Egypt.”

Ammar al-Beltagy, her brother, also tweeted the news about his sister.

Beltagy himself had denied to the Turkish Anadolu news agency that he and other Brotherhood leaders had been arrested.

Security forces on Wednesday morning began to clear the two sit-ins of Morsy supporters in Rabaa al-Adaweya and al-Nahda squares.

Clashes between the two sides have so far left 22 people killed and 290 others injured, according to a statement by the Health Ministry.
