Egypt's consultations with the International Monetary Fund is on-going at all levels, said Finance Minister Morsy Hegazy said on Thursday, denying rumors that the visit of the IMF delegation has been indefinitely postponed.

The minister made these comments at his opening address to the second annual conference for electronic tax payments.

A press statement from the ministry said that the delegation would be invited after the government reviews the economic and social reform program, and dependent on the current political crisis, as well as the results of community dialogue about the program and the recent tax amendments.

The ministry will be done with reviewing the program by early next week, Hegazy said, after which it will be submitted to the finance committee and the Cabinet, and a date for the IMF delegation's visit set.

Government sources close to the negotiations process had told Al-Masry Al-Youm last week that IMF has indicated that it seeks to postpone making any decisions on the loan until after parliamentary elections, which are slated to take place at some point within three to four months.
