Sisi to keep Mehleb in charge of Egypt’s Cabinet

On Monday. Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb said that he was assigned to form the new government of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. Mehleb was the last prime minister under the interim government that followed the 3 July events.

Mehleb had submitted the cabinet's resignation earlier on Monday to Sisi, after a 15-minute meeting with the ministers.

Composed of 31 ministers, Mehleb’s cabinet took oath before outgoing President Adly Mansour in the beginning of March.

No reshuffle was made except for including Sedqy Sobhy as the defense minister, succeeding Field Marshal abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who quit before running for president on 26 March.
