Six Brotherhood supporters sentenced to three years in prison over rioting

Cairo Criminal Court sentenced on Tuesday six Muslim Brotherhood supporters to three years in prison, fined them LE1,000 each and put them under surveillance for a period equal to that of their sentence over involvement in violence and attacks against citizens in Al-Zaher district upon the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsy.

Seven suspects were cleared.

The court said the suspects were proven to be guilty in taking part in protests that were staged from Al-Fath mosque in Ramsis. They clashed with citizens and attacked them.

The seven cleared suspects were proven to have not taken part in protests.
