Libyan coast guards arrested 18 fishermen on Friday for straying into Libyan territorial waters.
The fishermen from Borg Megheizal village, Kafr al-Sheikh province, were captured off the Libyan port city of Zawara.
Ahmed Nassar, head of the Kafr al-Sheikh Fishermen's Union, said 18 villagers were on board the boat when it drifted towards the Libyan coast.
