Ain Sohkna electricity plant workers disgruntled by humble salary bonus

Young engineers at the Ain Sokhna electricity plant have voiced their dissatisfaction with the performance bonus which was disbursed to them, comprising only 15 percent (LE80) of their basic salaries.

The administration, according to the workers, refused to disburse other incentive payments handed out to their peers at other electricity stations across the country.

The station's third phase was inaugurated by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb in May.

The same plant had seen protests over the past two years by workers demanding permanent work contracts.
