Constitutional Court shuns verdict inquiring about members pay

The Supreme Constitutional Court has invoked a ruling of the Court of Cassation obliging the president of the Supreme Constitutional Court to submit a formal statement of the remunerations of its members, as this is an internal affair of the court and its members according to the Constitution.

Judges of the State Council and courts of appeal had demanded equal remuneration to the judges of the Supreme Constitutional Court. They criticized the response of the Supreme Constitutional Court, contending that salaries of state officials should not be secret because they come from the taxpayers who have the right to know who takes what.
