British Egyptologist Nicholas Reeves will present his theory on Queen Nefertiti’s tomb during a talk on Monday. He believes the queen rests in a back chamber within King Tutankhamun’s tomb.
“We are giving Reeves a chance to prove his theory,” said Antiquities Minister Mamdouh al-Damaty. “We support all serious attempts for new archaeological discoveries.”
He said he will hold a press conference in October to brief the public on the results of the preliminary examination of the tomb.
