The brother of an independent candidate excluded by the National Democratic Party for Bandar Bella district, Mansoura, has been shot early this morning while walking with his brother's supporters en route to finalize candidacy papers for the election.
Musheer al-Gendi was rushed to the emergency hospital in Mansoura. Security are in pursuit of the perpetrator, who reportedly escaped the scene.
In Mansoura, witnesses saw thugs on motorcycles armed with chains and pocketknives leave the police station and head toward polling stations.
