Heat wave to continue through Friday

Meteorologists predict moderate weather on the north coast on Friday, with higher temperatures in Cairo and the rest of the country.

Low- and medium-level clouds are expected in the north, and winds are expected to be southwesterly and moderate in strength. Winds will be active in the north of the country and in the Sinai, accompanied by sand and dust in some areas.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea are expected to be light to moderate and will range between 1.5 and 2 meters with northwesterly surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be light to moderate and will range between 1 to 1.5 meters with northeasterly surface winds.

Maximum temperatures expected for the following cities are: 42C in Cairo, 32C in Alexandria, 42C in Qena, 43C in Luxor, and 42C in Aswan.
