Privately-owned satellite channel ONE has announced that renowned TV host Ibrahim Eissa will host a new show entitled “Hoash Eissa”, scheduled to start broadcasting at the end of November.
Eissa will be keen not to touch on political topics and instead plans to focus on social issues, history, individual biographies and religion.
Eissa’s previous talk show “With Ibrahim Eissa” was suspended in December 2016 after he accused Parliament of planning to adjust the constitutional article that limits the presidential term limit while also describing MPs as “swindlers and impostors.”
The parliament filed a complaint to the General Authority for Investment, requesting that legal action be brought against both Eissa and the satellite TV channel Al-Qahera Wal Nas, on which his TV show was aired.
However, the chairman of the satellite channel, Ahmed al-Saed, denied that the show had been suspended, explaining that his absence was due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
