Interior Minister Mansour al-Essawy ordered the release of 54 bedouin detainees from the North and South Sinai, including 49 political detainees from North Sinai and two from South Sinai.
Also released were two criminal detainees from South Sinai and one from North Sinai.
Security authorities, meanwhile, are reviewing other arrest orders in preparation for the release of more detainees from various cities.
