Libya searching for 100 illegal Egyptian immigrants lost in its desert

Libya announced on Sunday that 100 illegal Egyptian immigrants went missing south of the Tabrak-Ajdabiya Road.

Libyan security authorities had received information that a group of illegal Egyptian immigrants were in the desert and the border guards immediately sent 26 SUVs in patrols to search for them.

The dead body of an Egyptian man was found in the desert, but there are no further details available on the incident.

One week ago Egyptian truck drivers, held by gunmen in the Libyan City of Ajdabiya, were released. The Egyptian trucks were on their way back to Egypt after delivering merchandise to Libya, when Libyan militiamen stopped them and detained 74 drivers as well as their vehicles. The incident occurred five kilometers east of Ajdabiya on Friday.
