A Muslim Brotherhood-led, Islamist alliance is planning large protests on Sunday to mark 100 days since the violent dispersals of sit-ins demanding the return of ousted President Mohamed Morsy in August.
Ali Khafagy, a National Alliance to Support Legitimacy leader, told Turkish Anadolu Agency that the group will call on supporters to rally Sunday.
He added that the week's protests will be staged under the slogan, "The Massacre of the Century."
Khafagy said the alliance will hold a press conference on Sunday to mark 100 days since pro-Morsy sit-ins at Rabaa al-Adaweya and al-Nahda Square were broken up by security forces.
The protests will call for the return of the hijacked democracy, Khafagy claimed.
