Ramy Radwan: Samir Ghanem, Dalal Abdel-Aziz in critical care with COVID-19

TV host Ramy Radwan announced on TV that his parents-in-law, Samir Ghanem and Dalal Abdel-Aziz are both critically ill with COVID-19.

The Egyptian comedian and his wife, actress Dalal Abdel-Aziz, contracted coronavirus in late April. They have been transferred to a Cairo hospital to receive close medical care, according to media reports.

Donia Samir Ghanem, Radwan’s wife, tested positive for the virus in early April, while Radwan himself tested positive in December.

The state-owned Ahram newspaper reported last month that Donia’s sister, Amy Samir Ghanem and her husband Hassan al-Radad had also been infected.

During his show, Radwan said that the family is praying for their conditions to improve and that many fans have reached out to wish the two a speedy recovery.

He continued: “Psychological support in these cases is very important, and the love you [viewers] show on social media has reached them.”
