Residents detain policeman for alleged killing of woman in Zabaleen

Residents from the Zabaleen district in Mansheyyet Nasser detained a policeman after accusing him of killing a woman while he was breaking up a dispute between two families in the district.

“The detective fired several shots once he entered the district, killing a woman who was watching the argument from her window,” an eyewitness told Al-Masry Al-Youm.

When the woman’s family accused policeman Mohamed Abdel Motagally of killing her, the residents detained him. Some people said the deputy Cairo governor later arrived at the scene to free the policeman.

The Mansheyyet Nasser police station was notified on Monday about the disputes between the two families. Policemen were dispatched to control the situation.
