Showers expected in Cairo, northern parts for Sunday

Meteorologists expect low and medium clouds to increase on Sunday on most parts of the country accompanied by rainfall on the northern parts including Cairo and the Sinai Peninsula.

South-westerly winds will continue blowing dust and sand, which will lead to low visibility on the roads and disruption of navigation on the Mediterranean Sea.

The weather is expected to be mild on the western coasts, tending to warmth on Lower Egypt, Cairo, northeastern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt; while tending to hot on southern Upper Egypt, with cold weather on all parts during the night.

The waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be troubled, reaching 2.5 to 3 meters in height, with surface northwesterly wind.

The height of the Red Sea waves will reach between 1.5 to two meters, with southwesterly wind prevailing.

Maximum temperatures expected on Sunday: in Cairo, 22C degrees; Alexandria, 20C degrees; Luxor, 29C degrees; and Aswan, 30C degrees.
