Sisi also stressed the need to intensify international cooperation, in order to reach an integrated strategy to form a united front against the growing threat of terrorism that is currently facing different countries of the region and the world.
Egypt has spared no effort to combat growing terrorism and extremist thought, especially over the past three years, Youssef quoted Sisi as saying.
Votel stressed the US' keenness to coordinate with Egypt on the military level to combat terrorism, pointing to Egypt's key role in the region.
Meanwhile, Sobhy and the Armed Forces Chief of Staff held a meeting with Votel and his accompanying delegation to discuss the same topic.
