President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is paying an official visit to Russia on 12 August according to a statement issued by the Kremlin in Russia on Thursday, adding that Sisi and Putin discussed the visit over the phone and tackled the recent developments in the Middle East.
The statement also said Putin praised the role played by Egypt to find a solution to the problems between Israel and the Palestinian factions and restore the situation in Gaza to normal.
