Tips for how to wake up in time for Suhoor during Ramadan

Many Muslims find it difficult to wake up for the pre-dawn meal of Suhoor that precedes the daily fast that takes place during the month of Ramadan.

The website Russia Today (RT) has therefore published the following tips for waking up early for Suhoor:

An alarm clock can help people wake up on time. However, it should be placed far from one’s bed, so that it forces one to get out of bed in order to turn it off.

Drinking water at night is vital for keeping the body hydrated and active, and can also help one wake up for the Suhoor meal.

Drinking tea and coffee jolts one awake, and keeps one’s brain healthy. However, experts recommend limiting one’s consumption of tea and coffee before going to sleep.

Rather, one should have just a cup of tea after waking up to help keep the body active.

Limiting the use of smartphones helps prevent insomnia and lack of sleep, which in turn helps one wake up in time for Suhoor.

Having a regular sleep schedule can help one wake up for Suhoor after having gotten enough sleep.
