Two students suspended for refusing to salute Egyptian flag

The investigation committee formed by Deputy Minister of Education in Beni Suef Abdel Hamid Ramadan suspended two students for three days and warned them of dismissal after they refused to salute the Egyptian flag.

The secondary school students had refused to salute the Egyptian flag after a teacher asked them to do so. The students alleged that the teacher beat them, who caused the school principal to reprimand the teacher.

The teacher's punishment was later cancelled and the school was instructed to prepare a program for spreading awareness of patriotism among students.
