Unstable weather to strike Egypt during the week

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority announced that unstable weather conditions will strike Egypt starting  Monday west of the country and extending to Tuesday and Wednesday to the north, owing to the arrival of Storm Daniel.

The authority’s statement added that it expects rainfall of varying intensity, heightened wind activity, and potential thunderstorms.

 

Libya faces storms, Egypt next

Storm Daniel reached the Libyan coast on Sunday after its devastating impact a few days ago in Greece, with heavy rains and floods.

The storm will continue to hit Libya on Monday and Tuesday.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority published an explanatory statement about the storm, which afflicted the Libyan coast with heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

It brought with it high-speed winds and waves in the Mediterranean Sea over four meters.

Libyan authorities announced a state of emergency, with impacted cities on high alert.

The remnants of Storm Daniel will reach Egypt according to the EMA on Monday, accompanied by rainfall. However it will lose most of its strength after coming from Greece and Libya.
