Army secures 2nd election round with 160,000 combat soldiers

The army is securing the second round of the parliamentary elections with 160,000 combat soldiers, while the Interior Ministry is deploying 30,000 officers and 200,000 policemen.

There are 28.2 million citizens eligible for voting in some 20,000 polling stations in 13 different governorates.

Meanwhile, diplomatic sources said the elections in Paris would be held amid tight security measures, bearing in mind the mistakes of the first round when there was not enough information on some of the candidates.
