Security forces in Giza arrested on Monday Walid al-Haddad, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) foreign relations chief.
Major General Mohamed al-Sharqawy, head of Giza investigations department, said Haddad was arrested at his mother’s house in Boulaq al-Dakrour.
Haddad did not resist, Sharqawy added. A laptop found with him was seized for checks.
According to Sharqawy, Hadded stands accused of inciting violence.
