About 74 civil society organizations have applied to the Higher Elections Committee for a license to monitor the constitution referendum taking place on 14 and 15 January, said Administrative Development Minister Hany Mahmoud.
In a press statement issued Sunday, the minister said no permits have been granted so far to any of the 67 local and seven foreign applicants, pending approval from the Social Solidarity Ministry to ensure the organizations will continue working in the same field.
