Cold weather expected for Egypt on Monday

Meteorologists expect cold weather across Egypt in the northern parts, Lower Egypt and Cairo during the daytime on Monday, with warmer weather on southern Upper Egypt and growing much colder throughout the country by night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 16C in Alexandria, 18C in Cairo, 19C in Qena, 20C in Luxor, and 22C in Aswan.

Mist will impact visibility in the morning at the northern parts of the country up until northern Upper Egypt, growing denser in certain areas.

Low- and medium-level clouds are anticipated north of the country, accompanied by rainfall on the northwestern coasts. Frost is expected during nighttime in central Sinai.

Winds will be mostly southwestern and moderate, active on the northern parts, blowing up sand and dust, and disrupting maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be rough, ranging between 2.5 and three meters in height, with southwestern surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height, with southeastern to northwestern surface winds.
