The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) released the latest weather forecast for the country, warning of a nationwide rise in temperatures.
This heatwave is expected to peak on Monday and Tuesday, with daytime highs exceeding 40C in Upper Egypt, while Cairo is projected to reach 34C.
The weather will remain hot across most regions during the day and extremely hot in the south.
Conditions will transition to moderate during the early morning and late night hours, aided by active wind patterns.
Satellite imagery has detected intermittent wind activity across most areas, particularly during the night.
Health officials advise citizens to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, avoid direct sunlight during peak hours from one pm to four pm, and wear breathable cotton clothing.
