Shoukry stressed the need for cooperation between the international community in confronting the phenomenon of terrorism and achieving justice.
"Our position on Ethiopia is clear; we are not at war. Egypt is capable of defending its interests in the framework of building and establishing strong relations. We have no hostile intentions toward any country, but we are capable of defending our interests," the minister said on Egypt's stance toward Ethiopia.
The life of every Egyptian is directly and strongly connected to the waters of the Nile, he said.
Negotiations are ongoing in accordance to a legal framework and have not been hindered by anything so far, Shoukry mentioned.
