The Salafi Nour Party will compete for eight seats in the runoffs, the party said on Tuesday after polls ended for the second phase of parliamentary elections.
Mohamed Anz, the party’s media committee official, said eight candidates will compete for eight seats in Kafr al-Sheikh, Damietta and South Sinai.
Runoffs for the second phase of elections are slated for November 30 and December 1.
Nour Party, which has decried what it described as media and state prejudice toward its candidates before and after polls kicked off, won only 10 seats in runoffs for the first stage.
