Power outages recur in Qena

The power cuts crisis recurred, yesterday, as outages lasted for more than two hours in a number of areas of the city of Qena.
 
Meanwhile a housewife, Attiyat A. M., 65, and her granddaughter, Rawan, 4, were killed after a candle they used during a power outage caused a fire in their three-story home in Al-Owaydat village, investigations showed. the fire broke out in the three-story house, killing Attiyat A. M., 65, a housewife, and Rawan, 4.
 
Civil Protection Forces came to put out the fire, but the two had already died.
 
Power outages have recently occurred in most of Beni Suef villages, five times during day and night. 
 
Sources at the electricity company said outage might continue to occur over two weeks due to shortage in electricity.
