Photos: EgyptAir and Virgin Atlantic planes’ wings collide at JFK Airport

Passengers experienced a scare in New York’s JFK Airport on Tuesday as two planes clipped wings on the taxiway, fortunately resulting in no injuries.

Airport sources reported that the collision occurred between an EgyptAir B777-300ER plane and a Virgin Atlantic A330.

The collision resulted in damage of the wings for both planes.

Crews were called immediately to repair the damage, and an investigation into the incident has ensued to avoid its re-occurrence.
