Ever Golden, the Panamanian world’s largest eco-friendly container ship, crossed the Suez Canal on Wednesday in its first trip, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish announced.

Ever Golden ship is one of the newest vessels of the eco-friendly cruise line Evergreen Marine Corp., which was launched in IMBARI shipyard in Japan earlier in 2018 year and is classified as one of the largest container vessels in the world, with a length of 400 meters, and a breadth of 59 meters.

The Ever Golden’s passage through the Suez Canal in its first voyage is a clear indication of the strategic importance of the Canal, Mamish said.
