Egypt’s Chamber of Tourism Establishments and Restaurants has issued a directive banning the use of all animals, both domestic and wild, during artistic and entertainment performances within hotel and tourism facilities. This move is aimed at ensuring the safety of both patrons and staff.
In a circular distributed to its general assembly, the Chamber called for strict adherence to the new rules, emphasizing that the security of visitors is a top priority, according to Cairo24.
Officials noted that the decision also aims to safeguard the reputation of Egypt’s tourism sector by aligning it with modern safety standards.
The Chamber warned that any facility found in violation of these instructions will face immediate legal and administrative action. This policy reflects the state’s broader commitment to implementing the highest safety and quality standards across all tourist and hotel establishments.
