Sources: Sisi receives daily reports on social networking sites activity

According to sources affiliated with the Presidency, President Abdel Fattah Sisi follows social networking websites with interest, reviewing both positive and negative comments about his performance.
 
The sources added Sisi receives daily reports from different parties on the latest topics circulated on social networking sites.
 
"The president's page on Facebook is managed directly through his office, and the president is interested in the contents of social networking sites in particular, following them on a daily basis," according to the sources.
 
The presidency's media office said: "The president's accounts on social networking sites have been active since March last year, and during the past 4 months, the amount of his Facebook page subscribers increased from 4,034,000 to 5 million. On Twitter, the number of his followers increased from 223,000 to 382,000, which supposes a 71 percent increase.
 
On Instagram, the president's account had 82,000 followers in February, Currently, the number is 175,000, the media office source said.
 
The amnesty granted to 165 young prisoners last month boosted the activity on the Facebook page between 17 to 23 June, as it received 25,000 'likes', 3000 comments and 1000 'shares.'
 
Sisi's message related to the assassination of Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat also reached a very large audience, he added.
